Wir haben 2019 ein Grundstück am Ufer des Bra d’or Lake auf Cape Breton gekauft und sind gerade mit der Planung unseres Hauses befasst. Die Vorbereitungen auf dem Grundstück sind bereits getroffen. Die Überlegungen zum Kauf eines Grundstücks hatten wir schon länger, doch unser Besuch der Insel hat dann unsere letzten Zweifel vertrieben; wir waren schnell überzeugt, zu kaufen. Dieses Grundstück bedeutet uns mehr als eine Kapitalanlage, es ist zugleich eine Beruhigung, weil ein zweiter Wohnsitz für uns eine Rückzugsmöglichkeit bietet, falls es in Deutschland in den nächsten Jahren ungemütlicher wird.
